Avec la croissance des initiatives et l'implication citoyenne, nous avons cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 mieux utiliser nos ressources et \u00e0 adopter les meilleures pratiques. \u00c0 The Teapot, nous visons \u00e0 \u00eatre un mod\u00e8le de d\u00e9veloppement communautaire en partageant nos outils pour aider la communaut\u00e9 \u00e0 prosp\u00e9rer.<\/p>\n<p>Avec le soutien de <strong>Concert'Action and the Quartier Inclusif et R\u00e9silient project,<\/strong> Avec le soutien de nos partenaires, nous avons r\u00e9uni des organismes travaillant avec des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles. En janvier et mars 2025, nous avons organis\u00e9 deux rencontres dans le cadre de nos efforts continus pour renforcer le b\u00e9n\u00e9volat au sein de notre communaut\u00e9. Lors de la premi\u00e8re rencontre, nous avons explor\u00e9 la gestion des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles par chaque organisme et discut\u00e9 de la mise en commun de nos ressources pour accro\u00eetre notre efficacit\u00e9 et notre impact. Lors de la seconde, nous avons eu la chance de recevoir les conseils avis\u00e9s de <strong>Lynda Barrett du Centre d'action b\u00e9n\u00e9vole de l'Ouest-de-l'\u00cele.<\/strong> Lynda a partag\u00e9 ses r\u00e9flexions sur l\u2019histoire du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat et les tendances \u00e9mergentes qui fa\u00e7onnent une nouvelle \u00e8re d\u2019engagement communautaire.<\/p>\n<p>La principale le\u00e7on tir\u00e9e de ces rencontres est l\u2019importance d\u2019une approche collective : l\u2019embauche d\u2019un coordonnateur du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat d\u00e9di\u00e9, qui soutiendrait chaque organisation dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration de strat\u00e9gies et de politiques ax\u00e9es sur le recrutement, la reconnaissance et la r\u00e9tention des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles. Cette approche commune favorisera une communaut\u00e9 b\u00e9n\u00e9vole dynamique et collaborative. Ensemble, nous pouvons cr\u00e9er une exp\u00e9rience b\u00e9n\u00e9vole plus unifi\u00e9e et significative pour tous. With growing projects and citizen involvement, we sought ways to utilize our resources better and adopt best practices. At The Teapot, we aim to be a blueprint for community development, sharing our tools to help the community thrive.\r\n\r\nWith support from <strong>Concert'Action and the Quartier Inclusif et R\u00e9silient project,<\/strong> we organized a gathering of agencies working with volunteers. In January and March, we held two gatherings as part of our ongoing effort to strengthen volunteerism within our community. During our first meeting, we explored how each agency manages volunteers and discussed how we can pool our resources to improve efficiency and impact. For our second meeting, we were fortunate to receive expert advice from <strong>Lynda Barrett of the West Island Volunteer Bureau.<\/strong> Lynda shared her insights on the history of volunteerism and the evolving trends shaping a new era of community-driven engagement.\r\n\r\nThe key takeaway from both sessions is the importance of a shared approach: hiring a dedicated volunteer coordinator who can support each organization in developing strategies and policies that focus on recruitment, recognition, and sustaining volunteer involvement. This collective approach will help ensure a thriving and collaborative volunteer community. Together, we can create a more unified and impactful volunteer experience for all.
