The Teapot 50+ Centre plays a key role in co-facilitating the Lachine-Dorval Table 50+ committee, bringing together organizations from across the region. These meetings go beyond networking—they foster collaboration, amplify community voices, and drive collective action on critical issues affecting seniors. By uniting stakeholders, we strengthen support systems and create lasting change.

Our advocacy efforts include:

  • Maintaining strong partnerships with the CLSC, Réseau d’Éclaireurs, SAPA, Douglas Hospital Clinic L’Étape, and AMI Québec.
  • Offering workshops and one-on-one advocacy on housing rights in collaboration with Éducaloi and the Comité de logement Lachine.
  • Co-facilitating the Salon des aînés Lachine-Dorval, a resource fair organized with the Table des aînés subcommittee to connect seniors with essential community services.
  • Partnering with the SPVM for door-to-door outreach on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, ensuring vulnerable seniors are supported and informed.
  • Providing collective training for community workers, equipping them with the tools to better support and intervene with seniors in their organizations.

Through these initiatives, The Teapot 50+ Centre strengthens advocacy for seniors and fosters a more inclusive and supportive community.
