Please note that anyone interested in benefiting from The Teapot’s services must live in Lachine and contact the Intervention Team.

Our team is ready to provide you with the support you and your family need when faced with the realities of ageing and the challenges that come with it. We offer essential services to allow Lachine’s 50+ community to maintain their independence and their quality of life.

Shop For Program

Thanks to a partnership with Metro, our ‘Shop For’ program allows participants to order groceries by phone or email and have them delivered right to their door. There is no delivery fee and no minimum order. Several payment options are available.

Grocery orders must be in by Wednesday at 4:00 pm. Deliveries take place on Friday.

Shop With Program

Our ‘Shop With’ program provides our members an opportunity to get a ride on our minibus to and from the grocery store. Our volunteers will assist with carrying your bags to your door. The program takes place every Thursday and rotates between Metro, IGA and Maxi.

The cost for this service is 7.00$.

Case Management

Our Intervention Team provides individual support in partnership with the public sector and community agencies to ensure the best service and support available.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • In-home Intakes & Assessments
  • Referrals
  • Advocacy
  • Assistance with Forms
  • Crisis Intervention

Foot Clinic 

Our foot care services are provided by professionals and caring nurses who have received their certifications in foot care. Services are offered at the Teapot ($35) or in home ($45).

Friendly Calls & Visits

This pandemic has been rough, but it has taught us that connecting with people is something very valuable.

Our Friendly Calls & Visits program provides an opportunity for our members to build relationships to help break isolation. Calls & Visits take place once a week, and can consist of a friendly conversation, going on a walk or even playing a card game!

Friendly Calls take place every two weeks. Friendly Visits are upon availability for a maximum of 6 visits.

Income Tax Clinic

Our Income Tax Clinic is provided by our patient bookkeeper to assist members with filing their taxes during tax season.

Tech Support

The Teapot offers one-on-one technical support to our members to answer your questions related to your smartphones, tablets, smartphones, Zoom training or other basic technological assistance.

We will then coordinate your appointment with a capable volunteer.


This service provides transportation to residents of Lachine through volunteer drivers and taxi vouchers.  available for medical appointments (from St. Anne de Bellevue to Papineau Avenue), as well as banking and other Lachine errands. The transportation fee is based on distance traveled ($0.70/km).
